The Jadis JS2 SL MKIV converter incorporates the latest technical developments to play modern digital formats. It carries latest-generation AKM DAC chips to guarantee first-rate sound reproduction. Its tube analogue output stage, driven by 4 ECC82, enhances the signal with warmth and naturalness. Inherited from the prestigious JS1, its fully balanced analogue circuit offers perfect immunity to noise.
Exemplary in its versatility, it features S/PDIF RCA, Toslink optical and AES/EBU XLR inputs as well as a USB type B port. It supports PCM streams up to 24-bit / 192 kHz on the digital inputs and up to 24-bit / 384 kHz via its USB input. For connections, it offers unbalanced analogue outputs on RCA and balanced outputs on XLR connectors.
In listening, it stands out as a source of rare elegance, delivering a surprisingly embodied reproduction. Weighing 13 kg with a compact footprint, it comes in the iconic gold or silver finishes. Beneath its refined lines, a new JS2 generation which is a testament to a great value we are proud to perpetuate, to ensure that technological advances and high musicality coincide.
Digital section is built around a DAC sabre ES9038PRO using Hypertream technology 32 bit.
Four digital inputs, managed by a microship Microcontroller, pass through this converter. Output signal is shaped by high quality operational amplifiers (i/u conversion).
From anolog point of view, this version remains faithfull to JS2’s design criteria with a full balanced tube stage and a cathode follower able to drive any preamplifier.
